Any fellow insomniacs here?

    For as long as I can remember, I haven't had a normal night's sleep. I always have trouble falling asleep, no matter what pattern I get into. After a healthy 8 hour sleep I sometimes feel tired and shitty all day and can fall asleep after two hours of being awake. Sometimes after a crazy long day I'm wide awake and can't fall asleep when I want to. Nothing makes sense in terms of sleep in my life. Tonight I downright skipped an entire night, which I do every so often. I know I'm gonna feel like a zombie for the entire day.

    It sucks.

    Any of you also dealing with this shit?

    i just drink till i pass out but yeah i suck at sleeping

    I used to do that too, but I stopped because it created a much bigger problem.

    I go to the gym 3 times a week and go crazy till I almost throw up. Makes me feel good but doesn't help me sleep. I also eat and live healthy in general.

    when i can't sleep i use melatonin.

    I tried that and it works, but it makes me feel depressed the next day. I try to avoid substances altogether.

    first time i used it i had strange dreams. it helps me to shut my mind down. i try to run myself ragged throughout the day so my body just shuts down for rest.

    I'm not an insomniac but I do have delayed sleep syndrome. Basically my body clock is fixed and does not change. I am a permanent night person. Mornings totally suck for me.

    I used to drink to fall asleep, but I found that I had to drink more, and more, and more, to sleep - and the next day, the first half was spent in a fog (not ALTOGETHER bad, but ...)

    I find that now I take Benadryl or Tylenol PM , and that helps me sleep.

    But I've always had problems sleeping, yeah.
