    He does sound like a douche but I didn't know that promising money for recovery of lost goods becomes a contract you are obligated to fulfill. Especially when the money promised is outrageous and not anything close to being what the item is worth. I am surprised that a jury would reward such a large sum of money.

    If the guy wasn't involved in the theft, then I'm happy for him. With that kind of money on the line, I'm sure there was some sort of investigation into the guy..
