I have mixed feelings. Big Ten has always been a midwest league. Maryland and Rutgers aren't midwest. Also, they will probably both be cupcake football teams for most of the others to feed on. Maryland has good basketball teams once in a while but Rutgers is pretty much bottom feeder there too.
Dunno the financial upside of going to the Big Ten, but if all else is constant, I'd personally stay with the ACC cuz it's better for hoops and MD has good hoops sometimes.
stay. and I'm still pissed about Len Bias.
maryland hoops>maryland football
dat nigga dead
But the Big Ten must be offering a much sweeter $$$$ deal if MD is siriusly considering paying that $50M exit fee to the ACC.
over 26 mill a year
stay, i dont get why they would entertain otherwise...maybe be more competative in hoops, i dunno what they're thinking.
Goddamn. They gotta follow the money I guess.
whats their current payday with the acc? & i know its going up with a redo of the espn contract becaue of expansion..
They should stay off of my tv with those unis.
sup you fat fucking faggot????

Bottom line, I don't see how this is going to help the Big Ten become more competitive with the B12 and SEC in football like, say, Notre Dame would. B10 doesn't need any help to be more competitive in basketball.
