It would be between Leon Russell's "Me and Baby Jane" about losing an old friend to addiction, and Alison Krauss' "Mama Cried". About losing a child before there was such a thing as an Amber Alert.
There was this song my mom played when I was a little boy (in the '70s) about a kid who played football, and his dad was blind. Dad died, and kid said something like "My dad can finally see me play". Maybe someone can remember the name for me. It was some kind of country song.
