This baldness cure was a bust.
For nine months, William McKee took the generic version of Propecia, the pills that promise to halt hair loss.
But the drug had radical side effects: Instead of becoming a better-looking man, he started becoming a woman, he claims.
“My rock-hard chest from the gym began to soften . . . reaching the point where I had noticeable ‘breasts’ even under my clothing,” he says.
When will men who are losing their hair just learn to shave it all off? A full head of hair is sexy. Bald is sexy. Insecure nonsense in between is NOT sexy.
Because it depends. If there's a way to slow down hair loss for 5-10 years why not take it? There have been some pretty impressive results with propecia and minoxidil. Of course, there are other examples too where men should just shave it off.
"Insecure nonsense" is the same as women with dark brown hair going and getting their hair bleached and colored every few weeks to make them into a blonde.
Women color their hair to make them something they're not.
Men take Propecia to keep what they have.
Where the "insecure nonsense" comes in when men, either with or without drugs, start to resort to goofy comb overs, wigs, hair systems, etc. At that point, unless you have a very odd head I agree that it's time to shave.
However, that doesn't take anything away from Propecia.
