That's what the youth of today is concerned with. Don't hate.
I remember back in the 90's, one of the guys from The Meatpuppets pissed a bunch of people off when he gave an interview after Cobain offed himself. The gist of it was that the intersection of good rock music and commercialization had ended, because labels were too scared of the blowback from taking on really risky and interesting bands like the kind that were on indie, Sub-Pop type labels (a la Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Blind Melon, etc). He was half right, they did quit signing unstable guys who might blow their head off or overdose, they just started going with rappers who shot other people or sold the drugs they od'ed on instead.
I thought KISS looked cool as shit when I was young (I was born in '70). I wasn't even into their music until the mid 80's. I remember watching KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park when it aired on NBC, and I also had some of their bubble gum cards.
They're a joke now, with all the commercialization, and still wearing the makeup with frauds in the Ace and Peter costumes. Some good songs and albums, though. Destroyer, Love Gun, and Revenge are their best
Captain America's been torn apart, now he's a court jester with a broken heart/he said "Turn me around and take me back to the start/I must be losing my mind, are you blind? I've seen it all a million times"
