That conversation was so staged and strange..... Gary might as well have just jerked howard off rite then and there.....Howard made 1 movie....ONE....then turned down every possible job related to the movie business.... Hollywood has since believed Howard is a has been and cannot generate money. your telling me he turned down 15 years of scripts yet chose AGT!!! truth is he's had no real offers and Don is attempting to "sell" him to mainstream america so he will have options in 2 years....

He was too busy having all his great ideas stolen to actually develop them.
When Howard Stern hammered out this $1.5 million deal to appear in the movie "Jane," he made one thing perfectly clear: "The hair personnel shall be first priority to Artist." That's one of the highlights of this agreement, filed recently in the Los Angeles Superior Court action brought by the DJ against the film's producers. The picture, which was to feature Stern opposite Melanie Griffith, was shelved last year when its financing collapsed. But Stern wants the $1.5 million promised him in this document. Along with provisions for his billing, hair & makeup, and travel, The Smoking Gun loves Howie's decree that, "No other cast member shall receive a more favorable trailer or amenities." Also, if we were Ralph Cirella, Stern's loyal man-servant, we'd be a bit pissed for only rating coach accomodations when the"hair person" scores business class.
Ha ha. He's had the rights to Porky's and Rock n' Roll High School for years. Yet, he's already said several times he will never put any of his own $$$ into any entertainment project of his. Besides he's far too lazy and complacent now to expend significant effort on a film.
So, why does he own these properties? My theory:
1.) He's hoping someone will offer to purchase each for substantially more than he paid originally.
2.) While awaiting #1, he has his production company annually do a minor amount of script work, then takes a hugely exaggerated business expense tax write off...allegedly.
Haven't heard today's show yet, but I was recently listening to an old tape where he was talking about all the offers he'd turned down. He said they wanted him for the title role in "Dave", but a little later he admitted it was actually for some other role. He also mentioned they wanted him to do something for "Rude Awakening" and he had an offer to play a scumbag fight promoter in "Best of the Best 2".
He's such a fucking liar. Recently they played some clips of the Shuffle from around the time the Fartman movie was supposedly being made. You'd think it was a done deal to hear him talk and he was bragging about how great the script was and how several major studios and leading directors and producers were competing for it. Even now he talks about it like the movie was actually made and was a big success, even though it was scrapped because he stole the character and didn't have the rights to use it. The only creative thing he's done in years is come up with these imaginary job offers.
