Oh man, the definition of alcoholism is pretty fucking broad. Richard drinks to get drunk...somehow that's a definition of alcoholism. It's kind of like saying that a sign of sex addiction is penetrating a vagina with the intent to cum.
seriously! the goddamn world seems to have adopted an inverted morality! the list is endless.
A lot of my friends are functional alcoholics--they claim they have no problem but once they get started, they absolutely CANNOT STOP DRINKING. When I was still in my 20s I could stay up to watch the sunrise while drinking, but not anymore. At least not with the hard stuff.
