i got fios and they used my existing coaxial to connect the modem/router.
would it be better if i ran ethernet?
and if fios is so great why didnt they run fios to it?
tech said coaxial is same speed, if so, then why run 1000s of miles of fios when coaxial already exists?
For small runs and individual use, coax or ethernet cable is fine. Its the entire demand of all users that needs the fibre optic cable. It allows all that data to go back and forth with minimal slow downs which you would have in traditional lines.
