I thought it was a good documentary, but i'm a race fan...Don't know shit about his acting but have seen him at Daytona a coupla times and he seems like a nice, humble guy
I'm really dropping names here today so forgive me for sounding like a douchebag, but I know some racing insiders and have had lunch with Dempsey a couple of times (in a group, not one-on-one). The first time I didn't even know he was an actor. My wife just about shit when I told her. But even after I found out that he's a pretty big deal, we've never talked about anything but racing.
He's not the funnest guy in the world, but he's a good guy...and knows his racing. I never got a whiff of "I'm rich, famous, and good looking, so F you" which I would certainly do in his situation.
Granted, he never had to completely pay his dues to get his rides, but he's a good driver. And he knows his limits...unlike Jason Priestly.
The 2 sports car series are merging next year. Not unlike Champ Car and the IRL.
ALMS which uses the same cars as the Lemans 24 has the real protoypes. Grand Am has disgusting ugly shitty Nsacar wanna be sports car prototypes. But Grand Am is cheaper and has better racing so it has more teams, so they are keeping the Daytona proyotype class but also the P2, which is a slower version of the P1 in Lemans class.
Here is a shit wagon...
Here is a real prototype
Pat Demspey was racing one of those, then switched to a regular Porsche.
but thats what retards do because retards are too retarded to realize their retarded bullshit
