    Romney called it Obamacare in a debate and the president accepted the term, even reveled in the terminology.

    Why the backtracking now?

    It's called the "pivot." The pivot is another word for "red-herring." What it means is, for example, say we are talking about a new car. The car has a shitty engine on it. The builder of the car then "pivots" the conversation into something else, such as the character of those talking about the car engine. "Well, so-and-so (a critic of the engine) had a DUI in 2005." Whatever. It is to draw attention away from, in this case, a poor engine by pointing out something irrelevant.

    A great one was how the president kept apologizing for the crappy website. The website WILL be fixed. It will be fixed because the website is fixable. Which is to say the president is apologizing for something that will eventually no longer be an issue which draws away from the ACA which is unfixable unless it is modified so extremely it no longer resembles the original ACA.

    Now that the website is becoming less of an issue, the real issue of the ACA not being so affordable is coming to the fore. . . . and we now, predictably, see a new pivot. "Obamacare is a racist term."

    That will keep the pundits busy for a while. The only question is what will be the new pivot once this pivot runs out.

    The implosion will come in what is already being termed a "death-spiral."

    How so? Rates are already waaaay too high, even with the "subsidies", for not only people under 30 but for anyone who is reasonably healthy. Those people will take the tax/fine rather than signing up for something that is 4x as much as the plan they had (that they liked) in 2014 which will mean the ACA will be even more expensive for 2015. The creep "up" the ladder for costs will be even more tremendous and will negatively affect more people.

    The ACA will be done by 2016 and all fines/taxes of-and-related to the ACA will be forgiven. And it may not even take that long.

    I'm not for the bill, but it is a nonsense political propaganda term.
    People should just be honest and say they care nothing about actual issues, and politics is just a form of entertainment, like pro wrestling is.
