10 best perceived beers in America

Want to know what the kids are binging on this spring break? Just in time for America’s biggest bender week, YouGov BrandIndex, a company that monitors branding, has released the results of its annual survey into what the U.S. perceives as the best beers.
The number one and two positions are Samuel Adams and Budweiser--which held steady from last year. The big climber this year is Dos Equis, owned by Heineken, which is up four places from last year to third in this year’s list. Other big moves are Artois and Yuengling, which replaced Miller and Miller Lite in the top 10.
The YouGov Brand Index asked people aged over 21: “If you’ve heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”
The measurement score is in a range from 100 to -100 and is compiled by subtracting negative feedback from positive. If a brand has a zero score that means an equal measure of positive and negative feedback.
Here is the list of the 10 best perceived beers in America:

Just remember kids, the more hops and the more rare/unknown the beer is = quality beer.

Only disagree with you on the Yuengling. It's over-rated crap.

    IMO, no offense.

Ehh, my dad used to buy it all the time and was the first beer I ever tried so it stuck with me. It's OK.

I drink mostly microbrews these days.. and trapist beers.

In this day and age you can find decent mid-to-major level craft brews even in cities/towns where you'd never have seen them 10 years ago. Anyone older than 20 who has a wide variety of good beers in front of them and grabs a case of Coors Light is a fucker. I've consumed mass quantities of each of the beers listed, and some of them are not bad (Guiness on tap...Yuengling ice cold at a barbecue...etc), but when given a choice I know how to roll. Fuckin' amateurs.

Sorry, can't disagree more. The one culinary drawback of New Orleans is that it's hard to find good beer...Abita ain't cutting it...

If you take a minute to actually read the post (and read between the lines a bit), that list is not about the beers people like the most, but about which beers have the most effective advertising campaigns.

Oh, and Heineken is skunky green piss. You must be one of these brainwash cases who thinks skunk=imported=good.

I take major offense to the amateur comment....lol

I crush....on average 70 beers a week....NO way in hell am I buying the yuppie bullshit in bulk every 2-3 days.

Don't get me wrong....ill drink what ever beer you put in front of me....

But ill be dammed if I spending $300 a month to satisfy my thirst for beer.

Say what you want....I'm NO amateur and I'm not a yuppie beer snob either.

    Resident alcoholic ......

The only beer that I like on that list, that I consistently drink is Yuengling...
