Cleveland boy, 12, shot by officer after reaching for replica handgun
The child is listed in critical condition after being shot in the torso Saturday afternoon at a playground. A witness called police and said the child was waving the weapon and 'scaring the s--- out of everybody.' Police said the child reached for the weapon in his waistband when approached by police but did not point the airsoft handgun at officers.
^^This guy gets it.
Not the cops fault.
I have given up... the OP has some sort of OCD
Story is old, he died today for being a moron
The gun looks very real
12 year old are not really kids...
my nephew is 11yo and is 5'10"
was it an air soft?
i blame Obama for giving Negroes the false expectation of full citizenship
I think so? There's a pic on cleveland.com, but the iPad won't let me link
can he legally drive a car, purchase cigarettes, enter into contracts, consent to sex with a middle aged white guy....
hit the E breaks bro.. if a 12 yo old does indeed have an air-soft and is stupid enough to even walk around with it
someone is going to think its real.....you don't have to be able to drive to shoot someone
Wow, sounds like they're really cracking down on owning replica guns there, eh?
He was shot for reaching for what they thought was a real gun, there's a difference.
Interesting that this part was left out of the article:
"WOIO reports the gun was a replica of semi-automatic pistol, and the orange safety indicator in the muzzle was missing" (http://nypost.com/2014/11/22/cleveland-cop-shoots-child-holding-toy-gun/).
Ya think maybe that little orange part is there for a reason? Ooops forgot that part.
reaching or not.. if a cop sees what he thinks is a gun .. anything other then hands in the air and moving very slowly is going t get your shot
This is why tablet operating systems suck.
We just replaced a Samsung 10.1 with a Dell convertible 12" ultrabook running Windows 8.1 because my wife could repeatedly not get links I sent to work. For an extra half pound you get a keyboard and a more well rounded machine.
Kid was probably on his way to holding up a convenience store, so the police should be commended for preventing a crime
Does anybody realize what a current-day inner city 12 year old looks like?
Certainly not like Beaver Cleaver.
i wouldn't go that far... but he fucked up royally and what are you going too do.. yell at the cop for not taking a chance ?
