Bo knows...right Robin?
If California Chrome runs to his Derby he'll be fine I think but he he did have a perfect trip in that race. Bayern will try to steal it on the front end, I would guess. I'll go with General A-Rod or Social Inclusion.
I miss Artie
De plane, De plane
..And, all the jockeys celebrate afterwards with a beer & a group Oompa Loompa dance
What is going on here?
mikes on blow
Smokey and the Bandit Part 3 - perhaps the worst sequel ever put on film.
Do you really believe that the horses know they're in a race?
The training of horses is fucking cruel...They give them pounds of high protein grains and vitamins and leave them in box stalls...By the time their out ...they are fucking ready to run.
Plus their bred absolutely insanely...Most ex-racers make shitty pets....their high as fucking kites 24/7..I think they do know they're racing...but just like people...some could give a shit and run cause the jockey is buzzing the shit out of them...some like to run and really try....
Thoroughbreds are the worst....funner to watch running quarters...they have brains....
Only 3 percent of TB's bred for the track make it....and they are the ones you don't want to be around....
Personal experience....I grew up in a racing family..
Oh and only about 4 or 5 of the horses in the field belong there...the rest are filler horses that run times nowhere near Preakeness times...filler
And their all heavily insured out the ass....
Super surprised a Cal bred got the derby....Racing hasn't been profitable in Ca for over 15 years.......Everyone is in Fla and shitty states like ohio and indiana...
When hay went to $20 a bale we all bolted... more profitable to raise warmbloods for rich shitheads....
The crusty blue collar owners may go "fuck you" and just pull Chrome out of The Belmont if the track stewards don't allow him to race with the nasal strips he's been using the last 6 races. It's the stewards, not the NY Commission who make and have made this decision in the past. It's a long 1.5 mile race which may not be Chrome's forte, but if he doesn't even contend for the Triple Crown because of a discretionary, arbitrary track decision, this dying sport has no one to blame but themselves.
If that race was a mile and a half chrome would have been caught at the wire
