    ...romney is a fuck up in his own class. i never seen a guy eat his words and change his tune on the fly like romney. if youre black, hes got grape nehi, if youre christian he'll whip out the king james version nevermind that hes a mormon, if youre unemployed hes a job creator, if youre in business he knows your plight but he'll buy your company run up the debt and then declare bankrupcy. humans are dumb dumb dumb. its not the words you got to take at face value, its the action.

    Everybody has talked about Romney's business record as proof that he'd be a good CEO of the United States.

    Yet he's run a shitty campaign. A very shitty campaign.

    Really, do you want somebody who can't run a decent campaign running America?

    There are so many things he could've done that would've changed today's outcome.

    1. Not writing that NY Times Op-Ed

    2. Having a Sistah Souljah moment. Or more.

    3. Being honest about his taxes. Being honest. Period. Quit the lying.

    4. The Jeep/China fuck-up. That was the final nail. It backfired.

    5. Being moderate earlier.

    6. Put some diversity and/or color on the staff (there is an Asian guy you never see.)

    George W. Bush and Karl Rove were geniuses about all that shit.

    Godammnit, I think W.'s administration showcased more racial diversity than Bill Clinton and Jed Bartlet from the West Wing combined.

    I could go on and on.

    Thank god Romney didn't do all that stuff.

    Instead, Romney hired as his chief strategist (Stuart Stevens) a former writer for Lawrence O'Donnell, who wrote for this ABC TV drama in the mid-2000s:

    Shit, I never even thought of it that way.

    The losers:

    1996: Dole/Kemp
    1992: Bush/Quayle
    1976: Ford/Dole
    1964: Goldwater/Miller
    1960: Nixon/Lodge

    And then there's a series of Republicans that lost in all the 30's and 40's, mostly to the FDR juggernaut.

    Interesting.

    This is also the first presidential election in U.S. history without a white Protestant on either ticket.

    Obama = not a white protestant
    Romney = Mormon
    Ryan = Cathlic
    Biden = Catholic

    One more quick bit of trivia.

    The last time 3 presidents in a row each served 2 terms occured from 1801-1825 -- Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe.

    Man, that is something.

    I remember being amazed that Clinton was the first Democrat to be re-elected after running as president for the first-term since FDR. FDR was re-elected last in 1944 and Clinton in 1996. Quite a stretch of time.
