And that's why regular season hockey sucks, and playoff hockey is awesome.

Funny how they dont fight in the olympics. It's simple, you fight, you get kicked out of game, suspended for next game. No more fighting.

Fighting is part of the game. Always has been. Deal with it cry babies, or go watch golf.

Not a stupid sport. I mean c'mon because they fight once in a while? I do agree the fighting can be done away with because it doesn't serve a purpose anymore but the sport is great and the NHL does NOT encourage it. If you knew hockey, you'd know the game was more a fighting game back in the day.

There is and always be a place for fighting in hockey, with the boards and sticks being part of the game. Its the equalizer.

lot less injuries and cheap shots because of the fighting potential if you ask me. If the NFL allowed it aww man that would be so funny but seriously I bet there would be a lot less shots at knees. then again NFL barely allows hitting anymore so maybe apply my argument to the 70's and 80's NFL :jj:

Well in a game where a team is not playing well and lagging, fighting can be used to spark a team or a crowd. That I am all for as it's always been a part of the game but the fighting(90% of it) where guys are just fighting for the sake of just fighting because they got a shot into the boards or over off ice BS, I can't stand. Takes away from the game and the momentum.

If the losing team's guy wins the fight and the game's momentum has changed, then that's what the losing team wants. I can maybe see some of the newer hockey fans possibly being squeamish or something when it comes to fighting, but the majority of seasoned North American hockey fans out there love fighting. Like I said, it's always been part of the game.
