    Tina Turner made her first public appearance since suffering from a stroke which almost took her life.

    The 75-year-old music icon looked far from being sick as she took a stroll on the streets of Milan on Tuesday, April 28.

    The singer who donned an all black ensemble was out and about doing some shopping with her younger husband, Erwin Bach.

    After seeing how good and happy she is, we wonder why she loves staying in doors.

    I had a final in one of my last college classes the morning after a Tina Turner concert in town. This was in 1985, when she was at the height of her solo popularity. Although common sense told me to stay home and cram for the exam, I ended up saying 'fuck it' and went to the show. She would have been in her mid 40's then, which seemed ancient at the time, but she still completely kicked ass. Thinking about it now, none of our rock heroes ( Stones, Who, Clapton, McCartney) had gotten really old yet in the eighties, so a rocker in his or her forties was about as old as they came. Who would have thought they'd still be going thirty years later?

    I've always loved her and wish I'd seen her in concert back then. I had no idea she was ill but damn, the ol' lady looks great.

    (Would it be wrong to say would still bang just to be able to say I banged Tina Turner?)

    I saw her @ 10 years ago and the show was 2+ hours long. *I* was exhausted by the energy and pace of it and wanted to go home - I no have no idea how she did it.
