Gunfight with suspected robbers
2 Hispanics were seen fleeing the scene so odds are Jesus was indeed involved.
You guys are too young, but NY used to be a real bad place before Guliani.
I'm a California guy.
And it's going to be a real bad place with the shithead in office now.
The news and DeBlasio are going to say this was an isolated incident and unrelated to the execution of the two other cop. However, it is because of DeBlasio's arm-in-arm pandering to Al Sharpton and his alienation of the NYPD that this happened.
Criminals are no longer afraid to take on the cops - they feel justified that they are endorsed by the anti-police sentiment of DeBlasio etc.
I hope the cops continue their non-slowdown to prove the point that without the NYPD holding NYC together you have nothing but Dinkinsville
The incident for which Goetz became known occurred during the 1980s, when crime rates in New York City were peaking after rising since 1966. Between 1966 and 1981, violent crime rates in the city had more than tripled from 325 to 1100 violent crimes per 100,000 people annually. By mid-decade, the city had a reported crime rate over 70% higher than the rest of the United States. In 1984, there were two homicides, 18 violent crimes, and 65 property thefts reported per 10,000 people. The subway became a symbol of the city's inability to control crime.
You obviously got the memo. Some people need to be reminded. They don't remember how bad it was pre-Rudy.
They have a good picture of one of the guys ... he's screwed.
The shooter was using a .44 Magnum, Dirty Harry's favorite, "...the most powerful handgun in world, and would blow your head clean off..."
The shot must have winged em...hopefully.
DeBlasio has been in office for about a year and the city is already reverted to a Dinkins Era criminal's paradise.
Has deBlasio bailed out the robbers yet?
32000 pissed off cops Just a matter of time and circumstance before they put up a 40 foot wall around it and Lee Van Cleef Sits watch...
