Howard said he has 2 more years there and then he's going to go off and develop another company. He said he's going to be careful about the wording of his next contract. He said he's going to do his best for two more years there and then it's upwards and onwards. Howard said the contract said something about a merger but that was for a different payment.

61 year old irrelevant man going off and starting a new company. . . . doing what? Podcasts?

There is no way Pelican will ever get his own studio again. Once he leaves Sirius, it is truly starting over. No nice location, no expansive studio with nice office, none of that shit.

It'll be more like how it was in Hartford.

He's not relevant. People will not follow him to podcasts. Sim cards? Give me a break.

And no way Howard goes to terrestrial because his ratings will be open.

My prediction is he will stop doing radio all together or re-sign with Sirius under the guise that the "new guys" (Liberty Media) aren't the old guys.

Not only two years, but two years of his best work. Personally, I am excited that after phoning it in for the last four years, he is actually going to try.

Two years and 7 months is a long time for Pelican to realize his limited options in radio.

Who wants to deal with him after he's sued just about every one of his employers?

The question I have is whether there there be enough stupid idiot listeners to fund his new adventure?

If Howard decided to do Sirius deal today, it would have been a disaster since so few would follow him over to paid radio.

Guy's fucking delusional as usual. Before, Robin was the most delusional person on the show and now it seems that Howard is just as fucking nuts.

Too many piss soaked former fans out here that refuse to support him. Adam Corolla gave Penn Jillete and Norm McDonald podcast shows under his label. Bet he won't do the same for sue wigward and his troupe of yes men.

'Develop' suggests he would be investing his own capital in a project, that will never happen.

After the two years are up he should just retire and try to enjoy his millions of dollars. He'll be in his 60's, why keep working for more money he'll never spend. When you die you can't take the money with you, might as well spend some of it and try to enjoy it.

Of course Howard's going to set up his own production company -- how else is Beth going to get any work?!

This 100%. When was the last time Stern developed anything involving his own capital? Even Beth's projects are paid by some saps at other networks:coffee:
