Re: AGT. I think the deadline is late May or early June, but I don't know if Howard would qualify for this year's Emmys or next year's.

It wouldn't matter, anyways. Idol wasn't even nominated for best reality show.

i can't see them ever nominating AGT, just because Howard is on it.

They usually just nominate shows that are popular or critically acclaimed...

    So no AGT.

I agree with you except I'm thinking that Claire Danes will win Best Actress - Drama. But Christina Hendricks was really, really good this season, so your prediction is a solid one.

I love Claire Danes and the writing on Homeland is exceptional, but I'm still having a hard time buying her as CIA. She's not tough enough.

What makes you say that? Mad Men has won for the past FOUR, consecutive years, despite the challenge from Breaking Bad.

I have also heard - and personally felt - that while this season of Mad Men is better than most anything on tv, some thought this season was a bit weaker than others. Coupled with the fact that there may be some Mad Men fatigue, it's possible that Breaking Bad wins. I love me some Homeland, but if Homeland wins over Breaking Bad I would shit my pants in protest. So there.

Far too many nominees for each category, it's approaching the 'participation trophy' mentality.

Yeah, but AGT has 7.5 million viewers and TV critic Bobo is a fan.
