You are on the clock.....
The funniest thing about the drAAft is the Timberwolves knew they had the first pick for weeks and they'll STILL take the full 5 minutes to waste everyone s time knowing EXACTLY who they're taking in Karl Anthony Towns.
I'll bet a million dollars that the #1 pick is black.
I hope Kaminsky falls to the Celtics.
2. What will the Knicks do?
There's always a palpable buzz when New York's team has a lottery pick. Phil Jackson was at the helm of the worst season in Knicks franchise history (17-65) and needs to give his passionate fan base hope. If Towns, Okafor and Russell are taken in the first three picks, there's a good bet the Knicks will look to trade out of the fourth overall spot in an effort to acquire another quality player along with a pick in the late lottery. If that happens, sources have told CBSSports.com that the two players the Knicks have done extensive research on are Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky and Kentucky's Trey Lyles. If New York keeps the fourth overall pick and doesn't have the luxury of selecting Towns, Okafor or Russell, it will be interesting if Jackson goes with a foreign player. Several NBA general managers told CBSSports.com that three players who didn't play in college last season --- Porzingis, Mario Hezonja and Emmanual Mudiay --- are ranked among this draft's top six overall prospects by most NBA executives.
Are you a Celtics fan or just a fan of white people? ?
The Sixers will be interesting, conventional wisdom says they take Russel, but if the lakers take him at 2 and the Sixers don't feel the need to take Okafor because they have Embiid and Noel, they could trade down and acquire even more picks.
Celtics fan.....as such we need to acquire as many tall, awkward white guys as possible.
Hahahahaha there 80's rosters were sooooo deliberately and insanely Caucasian. In a league that's 85% black they managed to have a 90% white roster BUT one of the few black coaches in KC Jones.
Even the bench draft choices, trades, and free agent signings were KKKesque like Bill Walton, Michael Smith, Brad Lohaus, Conner Henry, Mark Acres, Jerry Sichting, Scott Wedman, Greg Kite, Fred Roberts, Jim Paxson, Joe Kliene etc.
I've ranted on NBA Radio many occasions to EVERY host I thought Nerlens Noel deserved rookie of the year over WIGgins. I'll post the calls to prove it later. Only HE and Anthony Davis had 100 steals and blocks in the same season.
They certainly knew how to build an "interesting" team.
Will the lakers waste this pick..They need talent not projects...Trade the pick for good players...
Big Celtic trade tonight.
Ahahahaahahahahahaahahah look at that photo. The black and white photos take on whole a new meaning here.
I like that Ainge is being aggressive.....I think this is going to be an exciting off-season for us Celtic fans.
Yea, I heard a couple reports that said Danny is being very aggressive and other gm's are trying to trade their picks to add assets and not make a mistake. I like Danny's approach.
I feel good about it
The C's certainly have the picks and players to put together a nice deal.
The C's have a ton of picks. I can't decide if it makes more sense to do some sign and trade deals for proven players with the picks or to try and move the picks to move up in the draft....
YES! "Big fan, big fan..." Noel was outstanding on defense all year and his offense improved in the 2nd half. This would only be his college senior season and he is still getting bigger.
76ers need several things to go right, but a team with Russell, Embiid and Noel, 2014 pick Saric who is stashed in Turkey, plus some role players they've uncovered while tanking (Covington, Grant, etc.) could be a perennial force in the East, especially if they add the right free agent(s).
