Credit to @tooth who mentioned it in another thread. @Honkey Donkey couldn't believe that it was TWENTY F#@#ING YEARS ago. (Me either.)

At the time, I didn't think this was all that funny, but who would have known that this show would end up 100X better than anything the HSS does today.

This is classic Howard in his prime. Right after transforming from a sheepish, nasally, pear-shaped, Jew-fro'd morning zoo hack into a narcissistic, bullyish, marble-grabbing "shock jock" -- and before transforming into Imus Jr.

Did anybody watch this back in the day?

The New Years show was ok at the time . It's still better than anything he is doing now . I think the problem with the New Years show is that most of it was stuff topical at that time . I have not watched it again in years . Maybe I'm due .

Man , watching this makes me kind of sad . I loved the show back the with the Jokeman a John . Back when Howard was still pretty much a regular guy with his ex-wife .

I remember I recorded it and watched it when I got home trashed at like 4am until the sun came up . I had to watch it again the next night when I was sober . I remember my ex-wife bitching at me that it was borderline porn . One of the reasons she is an Ex now

George: Let me ask you this. If you stick your hand in the hair is it easy to
    get it out?

Jerry: Do you want to be able to get it out or do you want to not be able to
    get it out?

George: I'd like to be able to get it out.

Jerry: I think you'll get it out.

I feel ya. It's hard to be with someone who doesn't understand the wonder of early Howard Stern, not the wigged, implanted, narcissistic, celebrity starfucking marblefucker he is today.
My husband doesn't really get it but he tolerates it and accepts it. Jackie is a whole other story, however....

I always chuckle when I see that little guy used in the Jackson rape skit, he's been in quite a few things over the years including "Pirates Of The Caribbean"

That M.J. skit is pretty disturbing. The make up job is fucking scary.

The first inkling I got that sometimes Wig just wasn't funny.

The first and to this day ONLY pay per view I've bought.

A really bad and hugely disappointing show. I was both bored (endless drone of Helen Stern segments) and revolted (bug eating or maggot panties or something). It was not fun, funny, or entertaining.
