    Thoughts?

If you have to ask the question, you'll never know the answer (until somebody answers your question, then you know it, unless you have one of those weird, rare injuries that prevent you from retaining short-term information).

I might have to tear mine out soon, freshen it up and give it a new rubbers and a chain.

This, unfortunately. They went from double chain to single chain (with shitty, plastic guide, instead of a .05 cent piece of metal) around 1984 I think. '85 was the last year of the straight-axle in the front...great for rock crawling and all that shit.

    Great truck though.

They're older than fuck, but still awesome as long as the body's not rusted-out. Pretty easy to work on, and a good one in which to learn about engines.

    I drive a 20+ year old truck around town...by choice. I've only spent @ $1000 in 13 years of maintenance/repairs. :cheer:

I'd rep you if I could. Yeah, aftermarket steel rail for the driverside chain guide, and genuine Toyota parts for the rest.

Yeah, the straight six was a very good engine, and pretty easy for weekend mechanics. The problem was that Dodge has yet to make a fucking vehicle that doesn't rust the fuck out faster than other competitive makes.
