I have a friend who's lived around the Oklahoma/Kansas border area. This one time that I went to visit it was warm, no-jacket weather when I arrived and most of the week. By the time I left there was a crazy snow storm. Needed 4WD on my trip home until well into Missouri.

Eh, it's like that in the Northeast a lot too. The last two Winters we had December and January days that were over 60 degrees and barely any snow. THIS year we're breaking snow records and low temp records. I'm sure the first few weeks of Spring will be fucky. They almost are, regardless; as are the first few weeks of Fall. It can be a nuisance but... it keeps it interesting?

Yea, but there's not much better than cold beer and a swimming pool on a super hot day... that shit is the fucking tits!
...and I never use that expression. I kinda hate it. But it fits here.
