She stole lots of jokes from Patrice O'Neal for her last special too.
She's a fat disgusting fuck, and I've lost a ton of respect for comics that I used to like who suck up to her (Colin Quinn, Jim Norton, et al)
She seems set for a real career fall
Who really cares about stealing jokes? She needs to stop stealing deep fried Snickers bar hoagies from Stop n Shop.
Someone mistakenly thought she was talented once...
This fat pig's time in the spotlight has gotta be at 14:59...
It's pretty sad that she steals jokes and still isn't funny
This is Judd Apatow's fault. If it wasn't for him we never would have heard of Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer never would have had this giant push down America's throat.
.... and Twinkies
She stole their food too.
I'm not a fan and she's overexposed but in fairness, it is possible that she didn't mean to steal jokes. I read an interview with a comedian once (forget who) who said he makes it a point never to listen to other comics so he can't ever be accused of stealing, or do it without meaning to.
That said, whether she meant to rip her off or not, she should stop doing the really obvious, identical bits like Liebman's, who did it first.
I guess they didn't do the jokes as well as Amy or they would be famous.
That's pretty hardcore - I believe the broads. They seem like they all have their juxtapositions in order.
Schumer is very derivative of every Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Chelsea Handler, Whitney Cummings etc comic before her in every detail (all Joan Rivers disciples).
I saw an interview with her where she said she didn't have any interest in stand up or comedy and wanted to be an actress or just famous. Stand up was the only the conduit she had to the fame train. So expect the worst from that ilk.
Obviously the most assembly line way is pilfer other comics and hope it works out. And if you hit -- whitewash your affiliations with those who aren't as famous, and you're the innovator because you're more famous.
Look for this Illiza Schelssinger to be going down this same road very soon.
Joke stealing is a proud American tradition.
It's been going on since Vaudeville.
Robert Klein admits to doing Lenny Bruce's entire catalog in the early days.
As did everyone's hero: George Carlin.
But I love Carlin & hate Schumer.
The last comic standing will win this battle
This. She's the Led Zeppelin of comics.
That's kind of what Anthony Clark said to a local Boston comic when he stole one of her (very few) good lines: "I make it work better."
