    Pew Research study:

    http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...with-limiting-speech-offensive-to-minorities/

American Millennials are far more likely than older generations to say the government should be able to prevent people from saying offensive statements about minority groups, according to a new analysis of Pew Research Center survey data on free speech and media across the globe.

We asked whether people believe that citizens should be able to make public statements that are offensive to minority groups, or whether the government should be able to prevent people from saying these things. Four-in-ten Millennials say the government should be able to prevent people publicly making statements that are offensive to minority groups, while 58% said such speech is OK.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A bit more at the link.

Granted, they do not specify what "prevent" means, but the general sentiment is ridiculous. I'm right around the Gen X/Millennial cut line and the mere thought of granting the government power like is completely foreign to me. Seems people are losing the ability to understand the difference between allowing something and approving of it.

Howard related because he now enjoys censorship as well.

I'm actually surprised it's not higher, they probably want a participation award for being in the survey.

I admit to going out of my way to piss off and offend people lately. Unfortunately, it was so easy that they took all the joy out of it. I still do it though. :D

    Fucking KNEW it!!!!!

I was just telling my wife this morning during breakfast that the millennials will gleefully hand-up their freedoms to the federal gubment the moment they feel that their lives are threatened by events outside of their understanding.
    They have a herd mentality.
Or worse- they're fucking over-educated lemmings.
"Which way to the cliffs?" is their rallying cry.

This is what coddling, participation trophies and political correctness with a side of socialism gets you.

School administrators censor the shit out of everything, all in the name of "we know what's best". Little God complexes these paper-pushers have.

It's no wonder we get citizens like this.

It's no secret that more of these Millennial assholes would show up to an Anti-Police/#blacklivesmatter rally versus a rally supporting the 1st amendment if the Government decided to take it away tomorrow. I'm afraid to see what happens in 20-30 years when they are in charge. :chair:

i used to be completely against the whole pc thing....loved the honest racial discussions on O&A, didn't mind gangsta rap or gg allin, didn't even care when Dice Clay made fun of 'urine colored people'

but recently i've kinda changed my viewpoint. i think eminem's a dick for making jokes about ray rice's abused wife...and i understand howard not doing racial jokes anymore with stuff like ferguson. he'd be finished...its mostly racist morons that complain about this stuff & they're also hypocrites cause they're easily offended if you talk shit about cops or if you turn the tables & make fun of whitey

But the whole point of the 1st Amendment is that it protects speech you don't approve of.

This is not surprising. These white guilters are far more offended than the people that might be offended. This all started when "hate crime" became law.

It's funny to see this. All these blockbuster movies and stories that appeal to millenials like the Hunger Games or Divergent are all about all the people being oppressed where they can't seem to be unique....yet they seem to be pushing for that kind of society later on.

The next generation will be for more censorship than millenials. This might be slipperly slope until blacks and openly whip whites so we feel their plight.
