    Fireworks turn my pretty chill dog into a quivering mess. Thinking of giving her a some Xanax. Anybody else have dog issues and know how to handle?

    The kennel I worked at used a pheromone spray device to calm the dogs. It plugged into a wall outlet and released the spray at intervals throughout the day.

    We made the mistake of taking our Dacshund puppy to a fireworks show and he shit all over my wife after the first blast. He's been traumatized ever since. Turn the tv up Loud.

    i read that letting them run into a closet is good for their peace of mind. we'd just keep ours close and reassure them that there was nothing out there that they needed to kill.

    My JRT goes all freaky over them. One 25 mg. Benadryl was recommended.
    Which is perfect, as he weighs 25 lbs.

    1 mg. per pound of body weight is the normal dose.
    Again, it is best to check with your vet first.

    Please do not give your pet something that you haven't discussed with the vet. You can hold them right and get a similar calming response.
