    You got your ticket?

    How many did you buy??

What are you going to do with 300 MILLION TAX FREE??

I get 1 ticket ( quick pic ) every time the jackpot is over 200 million.

I have no idea what I would do with all the money but I would take care of the family 1st. Hell, I would even throw some cash at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cousins that I haven't spoken to in 20+ years some cash to keep them from bothering me. A preemptive here is all you're getting, stay away.

Not to burst your bubble but it's around $300 million MINUS taxes. So really around $150-180 million after federal and state income and Obamacare taxes. Still nothing to sneeze at, I bought a ticket even though the odds are for suckers.

the economy would benefit so much more if the payout made 200 millionaires instead of just one.. imagine 4 families from every state is one way to think about it.

It's $600 million if paid out over 30 years. Otherwise if you want the lump sum option you take the net present value of $600 million which is roughly half (just looked it up, $341 million).

...not exactly. even if you take the payout over 30 years you still have to pay taxes. in any event i was responding to your first assertion.
its 600m minus taxes not 300m minus taxes. :hat:

$600 million minus taxes if paid over 30 years, so $20 million a year minus taxes. NPV of $600 million ($341 million) minus taxes if you want it all now.

Always take the lump sum option. If you die, you don't get more. If tax rates go back to like they were in the 1950's, you're screwed.

$1000, renounce your citizenship, & a one way ticket back to Africa for all our inner city hyphenated Americans.
