Any talk today about re-signing ?
what the FUCK are you talking about
He has already resigned. It will be "announced" on the last show before hes off for the holidays where he acts like he wanted to leave but Sirius wanted him so bad he couldn't turn them down as if he is doing them some kind of favor for taking their money for doing as little as humanly possible. If he was leaving there would been months of bullshit all year long about "The King" retiring complete with every "celebrity" hes interviewed this year begging him to stay.
Long live Howard Stern
The staff must know what they are doing, I wonder if Sirius is putting them on other channels?
HOWARD has to resign now that his golden parachute AGT is gone.
"Everything we do - we're shooting it - is for TV" - Gary talking about handing sheets to JD on The Wrap Up Show today.
They know he's going to resign but more cuts are coming. The TV guys got tossed on the curb after 20 years loyal service and pretty soon everyone else will too until the show is once per week and it's just HOWARD and the same rotation Levine/Rogen/Kimmel/Arquette for 30 minutes
Re-sign means new contract, resign means quit.
this should really be stickied at the top. also howard said last year his mom's name is spelled RAY not RAE.
I resign my nuts to your forehead..ARHHHHHHHH honk honk (yucko)
I think Sirius got him good on the last contract and made sure he couldn't even say over the radio that he is retiring. He will have to wait till his contract is up to tell the press that he is no longer with Sirius.
If that's true...genius move on Sirius' part.
For the first time today I thought he might not re-sign with Sirius. Seemed to be saying he can't talk about it because of language in his current contract. It's completely obvious he'll continue in some capacity but not so sure it's going to be with Sirius.
That would be an interesting turn of events - if Stern's contract expired and the fired everyone - then restarted with the new/improved HSS - with 3 staff.
That way Stern doesn't have to be the bad guy
His silence is why I don't think he has re-signed. Assuming Sirius still gets a subscription bump at Christmas time - wouldn't they want to promote Stern's re-signing to capture subscriptions - especially at the end of the calendar year?
It makes no business sense for Sirius to keep the news under wraps until the last day of the contract.
so far it's no different than 5 years ago when he announced it on december 9th.
Maybe its a Buchwald stratagem to make Howard appear in-demand.
Yep, it might give Howie a way to fire everyone and not feel guilty or look like an asshole in public.
