McMahon was on Real Sports a few years ago. He's really fucked up. It's sad, he is one of the NFL's greatest characters.
Did you see Buddy Ryan at the beginning of this? Didn't know he was in that bad of shape.
It was a good documentary. I'm a Giants fan but have no qualms saying the '85 Bears were the best SB team of all time for the one year.
Same here. I bleed blue, but that Bears team is the best team of the modern era.
Thought it was decent, especially the last 30 minutes.
Fluke team, fluke year. Fuck off.
Some will argue that there were better football teams than the 85 Bears, but they would be wrong
Shut up faggot!
I need to watch this. This was the season that put the NFL on my radar.
You can argue about a possible better team, but nobody have ever been as entertaining.
Those guys were absolute must watch TV. Every news bite they were on was just hysterical. Watching that entire season with my dad will always be one of my greatest memories.
I loved the documentary and how the seriously addressed Payton not getting a Superbowl TD. It was interesting to hear opposing views on its importance for the players.
Fencick didn't seem to care. He said "I would love to have intercepted a pass and ran it back for a touchdown too. But we won a Superbowl."
Me too. That was the first year I sat and watched an entire season.
Yup, me too. I remember thinking football was the greatest thing ever next to the girls at school whose titties had just started to bud.
Great 30 for 30! Mike Singletary made this film great! The last scene where he can't read the letter and gets up and walks away was incredible!
The Jim McMahon part was kind of sad. That whole "getting out the toxins" thing sounded a bit too much like something a quack would say and being able to redirect the flow of spinal fluid by tapping on someone's neck with a miniature jackhammer a few times, really?
I'd hate to think some quacks are taking his money, when the real problem is that he is suffering symptoms from CTE.
Best D ever
1 good year
I agree, the treatments he was getting seemed strange to say the least. I would say that if McMahon believes these treatments help him and keep him from having suicidal thoughts, then whatever he is paying them is worth it to him.
He's always been like that. Dudes been crazy since day 1
That he has...lol.
But he was complaining about physical problems(severe headaches, loss of vision, lapses in short term memory).
Kind of stuff crazy just doesn't explain.
Funniest part was the Doug Flutie hate. Never knew it was that strong.
To paraphrase, "You have Fuller and Tomczak on the bench and you start a midget?".
