What say you ?
Were they 17-0? Then no.
The 1989 49ers were awesome. 55-10 ass whoppin' on Denver in the SB that year.
There's no Documentary on the 1989 49ers.
No. Great D. 80's Niners or 70's Steelers and I'm not a fan of either team. And Joe Montana is the best QB I've ever seen play.
Btw, people always mention the defense as they should but Walter Payton is a top 3 RB of all time.
13 Seahawks (beat three Super Bowl QBs in the playoffs and 2 SB MVPs in Brees, Manning)
I'm a giant fan , but I have to admit I never saw a more dominant team than that bear team. You could see the fear of the opposing quarterback
right through the tv
I am geographically obligated to say "Yes!"
Best defense I ever saw but the late 80's Niners were the best team ever.
I walter payton #34
I am too but I never cared back then.
Remember dan hamptons howard?
The best team ever was the one that was undefeated. There was only one.
So hard to compare teams over time. I think the Bears only had one lineman over 300 lbs, and that was Perry. Even the lowly Browns have basically all guys over 300lbs, and they are athletic and extremely mobile today.
One of the greatest teams of that era though. No doubt. But 89' 49er team. Dolphins at 14-0. 2007 Patriots at 18-0 before they lost. Tough call.
Amazing how big the guys have become over the years....
Just looked at the '85 season stats. Their regular season overall point differential was +258, no team in the league was within 100 points of that (the 49ers were +148). In the playoffs they outscored their opponents 91-10 with two shutouts. I wouldn't say best of all time, but they may have dominated a season like no other championship team.
