We all know exactly where we were that day. We all know what the country lost that day.

Tell your story or post a video.

It makes me sick to my stomach that NFL teams all over the country are going to protest the National Anthem tomorrow on 9/11..

Where did the patriotism go in this country? Sad.

I think they should play the national anthem prior to all teams coming out now.Fuck these entitled pieces of shit, don't give them the stage or opportunity to ruin the anthem. This is coming from a huge football fan I just don't give a damn about their agendas ,take them right out of the equation.

When the Kaepernick shit started, I was just glad it wasn't anyone on the team I root for.

Now it looks like some players in Miami are orchestrating something for tomorrow and i'm really not happy about it.

Fuck these football players for shoving this shit down our throat on September 11th.

watched the towers fall from the water in sandy hook that morning. The hrs from 6am-8 were magically like only a crisp September morning can produce...solid 6-8ft ground swell rolled in w/light offshore winds and about 20 other guys and myself traded waves without a care in the world other than how we were gonna blow off work for that day.

the rest of the day is history. Fuck terrorists.

You're exactly right. If they hate the anthem so much, now you don't have to worry about hearing it.. This should be done immediately, like before tomorrow's 1 oclock games.

But no, Goodell the cuck will just sits there and let the entire league protest during various September 11th tributes.

...sorry dawg. I am so over politics, I can't wait for this election to be over with. Don't even care anymore.

That being said, this protesting on 9/11 shit is aggravating the fuck out of me.

I was working on 9/11. Nothing memorable for me on that day other than my wife was sick and woke up at 4 pm, called me at work and said "I'm hungry and bored. can we go out for dinner?". I said "I'm really not in the mood to eat out right now". And she got mad and started bitching me out. In mid whine, I told her to turn on the tv. As she was looking N for the remote she asked "which channel". I said "any channel"...

    We ate leftovers that night.

I still have the recordings of all the major networks that day and newspapers for the full 6 months after.

The next day I went into work and it didn't feel right... So as I left hat day, I said I'd not be in tomorrow and would be back when it felt right...

I immediately headed to downtown and had to work some serious angles just to get there. Eventually hooked up with one of the incident commanders and offered him any logistics help he needed. We found food, water, clothes, portable showers, anything... Even found laundry. Fucking everyone wanted to help...

I was watching the first tower burn on live TV when I got up that morning. I thought I was watching a horrible accident. Then saw the second plane hit and thought we were at fucking war. I was pissed off. I became an islamaphobe that day.

If you have any interest in military history, specifically on the ground platoon / company level combat, you must read 'We Were Soldiers Once'.
One of the few books I have read more than once. Fuck the movie, read the book.
It literally shook me up to read the stories about the soldiers and their families and then to see all the names on the wall in DC.

    RIP Rescorla.
