    Yes.

    pra-shoot = prosciutto

    gabagool = capicola

    fa-zool = pasta e fagioli

    East coast Italians drop ending vowels.

    Nick is only half-Italian, so he could never be a made man. They have to trace your family all the way back to Sicily. Real greaseball shit.:)

    That goombah stuff reminds me of how my Italian grandparents always pointed out in strong terms how they were Northern Italian to distinguish themselves from the southerners. It was a bigger thing with many of them than the North vs. South thing was/is with some in the U.S.

    My favorite recent Artie food order was when he called the Malibu Diner on the air and made the following order to pick up after the show at 1:00 a.m. :

    Three (!) Taylor Ham Pork Roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches on a hard roll, chocolate milk, and extra pickles.

    What's the other half? I thought Nick was 100% Italian. Artie's the 1/2 Italian (and American Indian) who acts, pretends and wishes he was 100% Italian.

    Yeah, that's what I thought. Artie's Mom is Italian, his dad was a WASP.

    If I'm not mistaken, his dad even had 1/2 American Indian blood in him as well (I think 1/2 German, 1/2 Indian), so Artie is 1/4 Indian. And, you're correct, his mom is all Italian.

    I believe he's talking about Capozelle. Sheep's head or sometime's lamb's head. It's a dish eaten mostly by Italians or Italian Americans from Bari, who eat some weird shit. I've seen them put the entire head on a serving platter, fully intact. They even eat the brains and eyeballs. NY Italians drop the vowel so it sound like "Gob O Zell" and like to say that word for some reason (I'm Italian-American myself and don't know why).
