"This video is going viral after it captured the moment that a lion leapt toward a little boy at a Japanese zoo, presumably with the intention of making the kid his next meal. In the 55-second clip, you can see the lion target his prey (that bright yellow windbreaker does make him an obvious target), then get into position for a pounce.

That's scary stuff. That quiet lay down before the attack. How stealth is the King of the Jungle!

All lions are scary. Well except for this one...

I watched this thing almost 30 times yesterday. I was surprised the mom was laughing after it. It was pretty cute when the lion was pawing on the glass though.

Look at him going down the steps. That is wonderfully creepy. The true instinct of a predator sizing up its prey.

I watched a wolf at the zoo zero in on a baby in a stroller. It was transfixed. You couldn't divert it's attention. It had picked out the weakest of the group, and was ready for dinner.

    I'm sure you are right.

I went to the zoo here and a large group of lovely people were whooping and imitating the sounds of the monkeys. The monkeys began to respond and whoop back. It went back and forth for a few minutes until the monkeys started to get really agitated and throw feces and other monkey house debris at the group of lovely people.

    All in all, solid entertainment.

Zoos really are a kind of fucked up concept for any sort of predatory animal. The one thing you do you cant do anymore.

Male lions will assist when they are needed, especially for larger prey.

Since it's Japan, the mother would probably keep laughing.
