    5/18 4.1 37% higher than Howard's
    5/11 3.0 Howard's appearance
    5/4 3.5 17% higher than Howard's

No commentary necessary, the Stern effect in full force

@BethSucks. Doing the Lord's work, so the rest of us don't have to listen to that asshat. That makes my day, since How-chi-min can only justify his existence in advertising revenue these days.

And Letterman lavished Tom Hanks w praise and conversation, cut to the green room to show Tom's wife Rita and at the end of the segment thanked him profusely for all the years as a guest and friend.

A total opposite of Howig's appearance.

More and more, Wiggy's appearance looked like a mandatory chore as Dave rolls out his last, best guests.

The power of Stern = AGT having to get guest judges, lowest rated Letterman appearance of last week and now the lowest Letterman of the latest 3 Mondays - it's a good thing for Howard that satellite ratings aren't available to the public.

Howard didn't correct this guy when he said that Howard had the highest rating on Letterman last week.

    From Marks Friggin:

Howard took a call and ended up talking over the guy about how great David Crosby is. He said that it was great to have him in there. The caller congratulated him on the Letterman show and how he was number one over all of the other guests last week. Howard asked if that's right. Howard said people say he's irrelevant but apparently not. The caller said he is the King of all Media. Howard said he didn't know that.

The caller must not have been a math major:

    Monday (Howard): 3.0
    Tuesday: 3.3
    Wednesday: 3.1
    Thursday: 3.3
    Friday: 3.2

I heard that too. When all else fails, have a fake caller call with fake news.

No, instead he had Howard on for the entire show, even when Rickles came out

    .

Howard had a 9 share --but seriously, it's the final shows, people are starting to watch, he could have a turd as a guest and as his last show gets closer his ratings will go up

And what did it get him?

The lowest rating of the week.

    Nice job.

He actually had an 8 share.

    3.0/8.

You can look it up if you don't believe me.

But yes, I get your point.

As it gets closer to the end, the viewers should go up.

 Howard's appearance beat every night the week prior, other than The President, each show has increased little by little until this week. It's happening because he's leaving, not because of the guests.

Whatever you say, the bottom line is Howard was one of a handful of people Letterman wanted on his show in the last 7 shows, along with all his best and favorite guests.

"The problem, Robin, is that Dave was too uptight to hold the millions of viewers that I brought to the show. They wanted to see the kiss happen and from there... well, you know. People want cock. Dave has never understood this, Robin."
