What is the ruling on having your account deleted. Do you delete the account and all posts?

Yes, it is difficult to do without causing major database issues. We currently have over 12,000,000 posts that are indexed, numbered, and used for many different statistics attached to the forum.

Deleting an account that may soon four years and tens of thousands of posts can corrupt the system and adversely affect it's performance.

If someone no longer wants to be a member here the simplest solution is to stop posting.

It's been done before but only in certain situations with special circumstances.
