Humans can learn a lesson from these two best of friends .....
WHoa! Wonder what the explanation behind such behavior is! Could the seal survive that? Looks like it was a good 70 feet in the air!
I bought Trials of Life years ago. It was horrifying. I never watched any more after seeing that. They do it to stun them so they can kill and eat them.
That seal is all but dead. ... orcas are famous for toying with its prey....usually it's to teach younger orca how to hunt and kill
Or they truly want to teach there marine pals how to fly
Fascinating! And also pretty bad ass!
Good hang time ... that one gets my seal of approval!
the fact that it can fling a good sea lion like that with zero effort is both amazing and terrifying
Not familiar with Trials of Life, but see it is on YouTube. May have to check that one out!
That was my other wonder, you think that thing was injured before the toss or did that whale literally scoop up a perfectly healthy, swift swimming seal and launch it? Either way it is amazing.
i am a huge fan of the BBC Life series on Blue Ray
worth checking out if you are into that sort of stuff
Kiler whales are assholes... they can't just eat the animal like a shark does, they play with it first like cats... which are also assholes...
from what i have seen and read. ... Orca will chase a smaller faster animal until it literally wears out ..
they do it with Dolphins, Seals, and hopefully soon Michael Phelps
by the way the man video is fake
Well at least after being chased to exhaustion they get to experience a little free fall before it's all over.
I just KNEW you'd get it!
