The funniest motherfucker who kept the show funny.
Yes. (And so did he. )
I think it died a lil' before Art had to split.
Even with Takei's " Cuddly Muffin " in the studio , Howie was still going on and on about Idol,Dancing with the Stars etc etc . . . Beth - uuugh
As I said in another post.
A few months or so, before Art went, Howie told him and Gilbert to lay off the racial and gay stuff.
Gilbert never sat in on the new again.
After that , the show started dyin
! ! !
Yes, the slide to mediocrity was well under way before Artie left. Artie leaving accelerated the pace.
Artie was just duct tape, that shit doesn't last forever.
Artie was the last element that provided some content. I noticed the slide when Howard started giving ETM 30-40 minutes EVERY DAY for months. The ETM saga was the first time I changed the channel on a regular basis.
In the days when SFN had visitors everyone hated Artie, every fucking thread, after he left everyone loved him.
I've always been a big Artie fan, towards the end of his run it wasn't entertaining but I'll take that over what the show is now.
I miss that funny mother fucker
Howard doesn't realize that the whole "the show is better without guests" mentality only applied when Artie or Jackie were there in-studio. Listening to him and Robin drone on is mind-numbing.
I found Artie annoying by the end, but in retrospect I have to admit he was funny (when not trying too hard) and was a foil to the PC/butt kissing/AGT insanity.
He was hacky and annoying by late 2009.
(The Joe Buck incident was the beginning of the end.)
But we all remember the good Artie times.
Some Artie was better than no Artie.
But there was a reason he was gone.
PRoblem is, who wants to listen to just Robin and howard.
I think the last 3 months with Artie were pretty bad, and I was initially glad he was gone -- but what was to come was so much worse -- I never imagined he wouldn't replace Artie
Arties stay evolved much like the show itself.
Deep. Funny in a dark way too.
Howard started acting like a cunt to Artie in 2009. Fact. Yeah, sick days, whatever, but when he shows up don't tell him to shut up and wave his comments down like a traffic controller. People bitch he'd get belligerant, okay, now, in the Howard Stern school of radio I was taught a guy out of control is damn good radio, like when Ben Stiller came on and Artie talked down to him the entire time.
If you question this, I ask you, what is so appealing about the interviews when Artie isn't there to butt in? The beer can cock?
Personally, I think everything fell apart mid 2009. That's when Artie was getting high regularly and was really getting in the way of him being funny. It pissed me off at the time, since all we heard was Howard making excuses. But I actually miss it now, because nowadays the show alot worse now.
Once I realized that no one was going to fill in that chair anymore, I canceled Sirius to go to Netflix. Great decision, that's for sure.
just remember artie will be on bubba's show tommorow on radioio.
i think they said the 9:00amest.
If anybody didn't like him singing biggie smalls or ann murray they are crazy
Howard hates Artie because he didn't try to commit suicide on the show. I mean, he hadda job there right? So why is he spending time doing all this suicide at home when he could have done it on air, where it mighta helped his boff? Artie was selfish and not a bro for denying Marble Man of all that PR.
