I watched it last night and have some observations: Spoilers will be obstructed as needed. First of all, what worked: Jarvis - I think the guy that plays Jarvis is a cool cat, and that weird kind of sexual tension between him and Haylee Atwell's character is a little interesting, it's going to be fun to find out what he's up to. Haylee Atwell - She's incredibly good looking and full bodied. Love that in a woman and It's a breath of fresh air to not have a lead on a show that looks like a fucking hat rack. She seems well to the task of making the action scenes believable, so there's that. Spoiler The Villains/Opposing Guys in this episode - The not being able to speak thing and the self typing typewriter were actually pretty cool gimmicks and actually way more interesting than any gimmick agent Carter or the SLS had. Bubbles from the wire - Anytime I see a Wire alumnus I get excited Spoiler too bad he already got kilt What was just kind of there for me: The action scenes - Yeah, the fighting? I know it's TV, but to me, the action wasn't up to par. Fistfighting when you have a gun? Dunno What bugged me: Period Piece with the time periods all dorked up - First of all, a Telephone on every desk in the 1940's? Really? Even in a government office, there would have been 1 phone for everyone. Cars that didn't match the period, actually a ton of things messed up here. Falling all over themselves about how women were treated bad in the workplace in that era - Look, my grandmother was in the workforce in the 40's and 50's and I know that shit sucked, but that was just the way it was, noone made stinkfaces when women were relegated to being secretaries because that's the way it was. Having Agent Carter or other women make faces when men said intemporate shit just didn't happen in those days. It was WAAAAAAAAY to prominent in this show for me not to say anything about it. Already with the foreshadowing of there being a mole or moles in SLS - Really? it's obvious the chump with the limp is a bad guy, without even showing anything. I'm not even going to spoilerize that. Shit. Anyway, so the show wasn't half bad, I would compare it favorably with the first 8 eps of SHIELD, but honestly, if they push the feminism shit too much, I might have to bail. I give it 3/5 stars. What do you guys got?
