I see that Howard stole Howie's fist bump.

AGT is a hit, with everyone who hasn't seen it yet?

AGT is already a hit, but Stern's 10 million fans will more than double the audience.

    So it's a hit regardless.

He wished his arms were 10ft long. Could he be further from the crowd?

He just stepped off a yacht (they all did) so he's a little sea sick.

Look at the audience. Which one of them may be planning to shave Howard's hair for their shrine? Bobo may have competition!

I think Tampa is the first genuine "Howard Fan Stop."

    Think about it:

Howard is big in L.A., but not really. He's overshadowed by the entertainment industry.

Howard is too dirty for San Francisco.

Howard is too East Coast for St. Louis.

Howard is too yankee for Austin (and/or Texas).

But Tampa, home of Bubba the Love Sponge, in Florida, where the Jews live, is Howieville.

    To emphasize the point:

Los Angeles (my hometown): The LA Times and The LA Daily News did NOT send a reporter.

San Francisco (my neck of the woods): The San Francisco Chronicle, SF Weekly, San Francisco Examiner, Bay Citizen, Oakland Tribune, San Jose Mercury News, Marin Journal wrote a combined ZERO stories about Howard and AGT.

St. Louis: The St. Louis Post-Dispatch didn't write a story -- about Howard whining about St. Louis -- until after he left town.

Austin: The Austin-American Statesman sent a laid-off former pop music writer (who's a Howard fan) to interview Howard.

Tampa: The Tampa Times' Eric Deggans, who met Howard at Bubba's wedding, posted a story right away about fans being turned away. Then his rival newspaper, the Tampa Tribune, this morning published the story, complete with photos, linked above.

This post is from the Tampa newspaper comment section. Part of the crowd waiting in line is chose for the red carpet section. They harvest fans waiting to get in to cheer Howard, Sharon and Howie.

BigChief1 2 hours agoI was there for the noon taping. We arrived about 10:15am, because the ticket voucher we had clearly said that it was for general admission. I would say at that time, there were maybe 60 people already in line. The portion of the line I was in was chosen for "red carpet" duty, which means we were placed along the railing for camera shots when the boats arrived with the judges and then along the red carpet when they departed from their limos. It was a lot of fun and though I feel badly for the people who didn't get in, you should have known better. Anyone who arrives less than an hour ahead of time for a general admission event takes their chances.
