The second week in a row that the results show has had slightly higher ratings than the performance show, that seems strange.
i was thinking that as well.
AGT really draws in the old people and kids. Masterchef is getting close in the main demo but hass only half the overall viewers.
Don't they do a recap of the previous night? Maybe people just skip the performance show and watch the summary. in the past the results show typically had 10-20% fewer viewers than the performance show.
NBC has to be pretty pissed that they're spending all that money of judges and moving a show to NYC when they can barely beat Master Chef.
we won the night again robin//////oh I didn't watch when was it on
At the 9pm hour, AGT got a 2.5 rating with a 7 share. That's equal to 10 million viewers.
Master Chef got a 2.2 rating with a 6 share. That's equal to 5.45 million viewers??
What am I missing here? I thought the "share" was the % of viewers a show received. So why does Master Chef have half the viewers?
In the world of these dopey talent reality shows, that is extremely unusual.
They have been layering in more name musical talent lately for the results show, not sure if that has something to do with it.
I'm pretty sure at this point I'd rather listen to Gordon Ramsey host a radio show, too. "High Pitch Eric, you're an annoying fat slob, you disgust me, that gafilta fish was undercooked and had so much salt it tasted like you just shot your wad on it!"
If I was the judge I would do 100 times better. These people are so boring and so PC.
You mean people aren't interested in watching Howard's all black wardrobe and scarf in the summer? Nick Cannon is just so funny and clever. I mean, the way he says "that was nuts" after every act is just so innovative. And Mel B being so "young" and telling people their act was "off the chain" just gets me so in tuned with what slang was hip way back in 1997.
I suppose it's all Heidi's fault. Howie's not even worth mentioning.
I did watch part of it last night and man, Howard was grumpy. He bashed most of the acts, calling one family act as boring as wall paper. Somebody didn't get their afternoon nap! Oops I mean afternoon 'meditation'.
Howie has been castrated by Howard's rigidity and bitchiness. If Howie was allowed to really argue with Howard and maybe pull some more pranks, then it might be more entertaining. As it is..Howard's lack of a sense of humor and need to have everything scripted has ruined Howies impact on it. I never realized before how everything that comes out of his mouth lately has been written and rehearsed. Just watch some early talk show appearances and compare that to his last few. Or listen to his early radio show tapes where he would come up with an idea and Robin would repeat it or add to it. The Sirius years has Robin feed him lines that he would then repeat. Hmmm, maybe I'll compile for a thread.
