So they pay him $1 a viewer
"Robin, when absolutely nothing else in on TV our ratings go up, I am such a draw, AGT is going to regret letting me go"
The other networks basically had test signals on air and it still could not get a 3 share or break 11 million viewers out of 330 million in this country.
Big Brother premieres tonight on CBS
Master chief on fox
I mean it went up, but honestly...there was FUCK ALL up against it and it got a 2.5!!!!!!
AGT shows a small sign of life as the ratings increased this week:
Historic breakdown for the episode 5 of AGT:
2008 (Hoff, Morgan, Osbourne) 3.1 rating, 12.53 million viewers
2009 (Hoff, Morgan, Osbourne) 3.0 rating, 10.43 million viewers
2010 (Mandel, Morgan, Osbourne) 3.1 rating, 11.65 million viewers
2011 (Mandel, Morgan, Osbourne) 3.5 rating, 12.59 million viewers
2012 (Mandel, Osbourne, Stern) 2.8 rating, 9.96 million viewers
2013 (Mandel, Heidi, Mel B, Stern) 2.4 rating, 9.56 million viewers
2014 (Mandel, Heidi, Mel B, Stern) 2.1 rating, 8.12 million viewers
2015 (Mandel, Heidi, Mel B, Stern) 2.5 rating, 10.87 million viewers
AGT 2015 showed an increase from the previous year this week as it pulled in a 2.5 rating versus a 2.1 last year for episode 5, and it was up from last weeks 2.2 rating. Still, the numbers are nowhere near the 3.0 or more ratings Piers or The Hoff pulled in for the same episode. The fact remains that there is a significant difference in ratings since Stern joined the show. The immediate drop he brought to the show once he signed on is clearly evident, and can't be debated at this point. The show went up against a pile of repeats, yet all Stern and the gang could pull in was a 2.5 rating...that is laughable. As I have stated before, Piers Morgan handed Stern the "keys to the corvette" as the ratings were huge his last year, and Stern drove the corvette straight into a wall...of course with a big sticker the said "America's Judge" on the side of the car. Nice job Howard Stern...all those people who doubted you when you took the job, all those that said you couldn't do it and would be a ratings killer, all those that said you are irrelevant and "washed up"....you proved them right. You are all that and more, and America could give two shits about you. Keep counting your money, keep banging your trophy wife.....but like the scene at the beginning of Private Parts, "real" celebrities are still pointing their fingers at you laughing....including Simon.
Episode 1 - 2.6 rating, 11.09 million viewers
Episode 2 - 2.4 rating, 10.84 million viewers
Episode 3 - 2.3 rating, 10.34 million viewers
Episode 4 - 2.2 rating, 9.97 million viewers
Episode 5 - 2.5 rating, 10.87 million viewers
I hope the show is on next year. They will have new judges. I hope the ratings go up. No way for Howard to spin it.
The show seems to have about the same ratings, no matter who is on it.
1 in 5 of those "viewers" were unattended cats left at home with the TV on.
Five episodes in to the season and America's judge delivers something that the NBC PR team can somewhat spin.
Last year's AGT episode 5 numbers may also have been lower because it aired on a Sunday and ABC had a series premiere on instead of a repeat of something called Fresh Off the Boat like AGT beat out last night.
and they pay the winner about 0.025 cents per viewer per year.
Since Howard is gone, they can use the money they spent on him and hire the other four Spice Girls.
Tuesday Final Ratings: 'America's Got Talent' Adjusted Up
Some guy who doesn't realize AGT ratings have tanked since America's judge joined the show had this genius comment:
