Usual ratings. Howie fails to move the needle again, and AGT loses key demo to Big Brother, while sycophants spin the old ladies and children who make up AGTs larger whole audience as a win.

    Yawn.

"Robin, they tell me that NBC's broadcast of the President's speech was screwed up on NBC and everyone switched to other channels to watch. They tell me that we would have had much higher ratings otherwise."

I read on. MarksFriggin that Howard's been bitching about his schedule at AGT and the press requirements interfering with his naps. Throw in his comments about people griping at the extended hiatus of the radio show and you have all the elements of his departure.

"Robin, NBC begged me to come back but the schedule was too demanding and the radio show comes first"

Good thing for Howard that AGT ends next week before it has to face actual competition.

This is quite the change from when Howard was all excited about joining AGT in 2012 before the ratings started going downhill.

    http://www.marksfriggin.com/news12/2-20.htm

"Howard said he likes this new NBC family because they welcome him in. He said this family he has at Sirius is family that he's suing. Howard said it's unbelievable.

Howard said NBC Universal is his main employer. He said they own Howard TV and America's Got Talent. He said the Sirius thing is more of a part time thing."

I can't imagine anyone associated with the show likes him. He's the diva of the show with all of his demands. Usually one of the girls would be the diva. I guess Howard IS a big ugly girl.

Prediction for the next year of the HSS.

Six months of will he/won't he do another year of AGT. (He won't)

Followed by six months of will he/won't he re-sign with Sirius. (He won't)

Neither will want him at his inflated asking price.

On Tuesday night's AGT, Howard said something very revealing to one of the finalists: "The audience is watching this show for the acts. It's not for the judges, it's not for Nick. It's for the acts." While I was initially surprised to see Howard giving someone else credit for ratings, it occurred to me later that he's actually giving someone else the blame for the ratings. Rather than boast about how the ratings went up since he joined the cast -- which he can't, because they didn't -- he can now say that the acts just didn't pull their weight for three consecutive seasons.

"... And that's why I've decided not to return for a fourth season, Robin."

    Historic breakdown:

2008 (Hoff, Morgan, Osbourne) 2.3 rating, 9.83 million viewers (top ten performances live show, results show) **
2009 (Hoff, Morgan, Osbourne) 2.1 rating, 10.06 million viewers (top ten performances live show, results show) **
2010 (Morgan, Osbourne, Mandel) 2.8 rating, 12.14 million viewers (top ten performances live show, results show)
2011 (Morgan, Osbourne, Mandel) 3.0 rating, 12.36 million viewers (top ten performances live show, results show)
2012 (Osbourne, Mandel, Stern) 1.9 rating, 7.87 million viewers (top ten performances live show, results show) **
2013 (Mandel, Stern, Klum, Mel) 2.2 rating, 10.80 million viewers (top ten performances live show, results show)
2014 (Mandel, Stern, Klum, Mel) 1.9 rating, 10.56 million viewers (top ten performances live show, results show)

AGT maintains is average of being below a 2.0 rating this week. It lost the night again to Big Brother, and AGT 2014 maintains its hold on being the lowest rated season in AGT history. If the average holds, next weeks Finale could easily beat last years record low of 2.4. If the Finale comes in below a 2.0, and loses again to Big Brother, and maintains is stronghold as being the lowest rated season in AGT history...can people still say Stern has had a successful run on AGT? I mean, every year since he has been on the show the ratings have dropped. Piers Morgan had ratings increases every year, Stern has had ratings decreases every year. Will NBC be happy if AGT loses the "Finale night" again to Big Brother? I just do not see the logic...why would AGT keep bringing Stern back? I am not going to predict that this is Stern's last year on AGT, but at some point NBC/AGT has to realize that this "Stern experiment" has been unsuccessful, and its time to move on without him.

"Robin, we are still the #1 rated summer show 'with a live audience', I mean what is this?"

**note - 2008, 2009, and 2012 did not have "top ten" performance or results shows. I used the shows the week before the Finale as comparison

The producers need to quit making Howard do,press and let him produce the show. No one cares what cueball has to say get rid of him all together. No one cares what T*ts and Scary have to say, have them make out while Howard judges, let Howard interview Nick about Mariah......that would change the ratings fast.

I think it's like all his jobs...

    1) glee and happiness in the beginning...
    2) frustration of some kind where he's being "mistreated" and constant complaining begins...
    3) lawsuit(s)...
    4) new job and back to 1)
