"See Robin, I'm leaving the show in great shape, Big Brother only beat us by 15% this week"
What was the BBQ ad about Nemo?
More of the Stern effect in action!
Howard invented sub 2.0 ratings for AGT. At least NBC can mention the sorry 1.7 rating was up from last week and that AGT had the most total viewers - no need to talk about the loss in the key demo.
...way to leave on a high note howard.
I don't think NBC considers him a partner.
NBC WINS WEDNEDAY IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS, AS ‘TALENT’ HITS AN NBC SLOT HIGH SINCE APRIL, ‘LAST COMIC’ WINS AT 10
Let's not forget, according to Howard himself, NBC loves him and the job he's doing.
If not for him the ratings loss would be even more than what they are now..... at least that's what Howard says and you have to believe him. After all, he's always been honest with his audience.
I'm so happy for his success. I'd love to see the ratings next season in comparison when the Wig is gone. Whatever will he complain about if he doesn't have to go film a talent show that is right down the street from him?
Only 9 million? Apparently only a third of his radio audience tunes in.
Mlaw spin in 3,2,1....
I have to believe if Simon Cowell will be on the judging panel, ratings will have a detectable increase for next year. It will be even better to look at the ratings for all seasons once they've gone up and see just exactly what the Stern effect is. Then Howard's only spin of how the ratings would've been even lower w/o him no longer applies. He'll then move onto bashing NBC and their promotion of and how they handled the seasons he was on. "More people can find the show now Robin, because they leave it in the same damn time slot! Do you know how many people came up to me and said they loved me on the show and tried to keep watching, but never could find it again? 3 million."
I love that in the age of searchable on screen guides and DVRs that can be set to record a show by title no matter when it's aired, he went with that excuse. Such an out of touch doofus.
Bwaaaaaaaa haaaaa haaaaaa!!!! THE POWER OF STERN!!!!

The 4th live results show was up from last week, but still below a 2.0 for the 4th consecutive week, and AGT loses once again to Big Brother...4 weeks in a row now. It is clear that this season AGT with Stern will lose to any type of competition. If there are reruns, Stern wins...competition? Stern loses. The writing is clearly on the wall for Howie as NBC is already renting moving trucks to take this show out of NYC as fast as they can....and try their best to forget about the "Howard Stern experiment". The "experiment" was a costly one for NBC, and in the end it proved to be a failure. If Stern can take away anything from this "experiment", he can actively brag that he beat out any "reruns" put in front of him.

"Jon Hein, can you come in here and explain why the 50+ demographic is more important to the networks"
Plus, the few times they moved the show it was to avoid competition from sports programming or first-run shows on other networks. NBC realized early in Howard's tenure that they could only win against reruns. If they hadn't moved AGT on those occasions the ratings would have been even worse, as usual Howard's excuses don't fly.

Season average for AGT 2015 is still the same as previous week...still tied for the lowest average in show history. There are 2 more weeks of live shows....next week is another semi-final week, and the finale is on Sept. 15-16th. Then...its over for Stern. How will Howie go out on the 16th? Does NBC praise him...give him a montage of his "great moments" on the show? Do they get sentimental and focus on what he "did for the show"? Or do they treat it as a normal finale and make no mention of Stern leaving. It will be interesting. The numbers do not lie though....Stern drove AGT into the lowest ratings the show has ever seen. That is factual, and undeniable.
Mlaw has Nemo on ignore....
