A lot of you guys are car guys and a lot seem to enjoy knowing how your products work and working on stuff.
Where's the best place to buy them?
I have many of the major ones around here. I like to go independent usually but you guys wouldn't know what I have around here.
I know pep boys has cheap shit and Fram was good but now they're not made domestically.
    Also what brands are best?
Educate me, people of Tha Shed.

I've never heard of someone's engine failing because they used a chinese air filter.

I tend to go Wix brand when possible. Just actually changing it is a good thing and I'd think any readily available brand would be fine.

The reason they are less restrictive is because they let more crap in. I run one on my shenanigans car but I expect to rebuild the engine due to abuse sooner than the extra dirt would damage anything. Most tests show that even when well oiled they let in almost 3 times the amount of dirt as a clean paper filter. Depending on the environment the vehicle is driven in it may not matter but I'd rather avoid the risk.

I change them when I think about it or check but I'm going to do all 4 so I was looking for the best deal. ( not a multi pack, they are all different.)
Vato Zone running a buy-one-get-one, Napa currently has them at 25% off, get a free hat, I'm looking for that type of guidance also.

Ok, no K&N. I don't plan on rebuilding anything so if the performance suffers a little it doesn't matter if it's cleaner air.
