Snappy, Bye You! get your cameras ready
I wonder if they ever had a tornado around the city
There was one here last year that traveled from the East River into Brooklyn, through Queens and ended up on the north shore of Nassau County. Lots of damage too, lots of trees and power lines down and it was wild how you could actually track it by following the downed trees and power lines. It took them about a week before they actually classified it as one.
I seen they have a warning for Manhattan , You would think that the tall buildings would keep a tornado from going into the city.
Yea, that is why you rarely hear of one hitting Manhattan, its too built up. Brooklyn, Queens and even the Bronx have areas that aren't as congested, so sometimes if they start over the water, they can gain enough power to continue on in those areas.
Nice and sunny here in Suffolk
Yea, its still pretty nice here too. I think we might have lucked out and Connecticut might be getting the worst of it.
There was one here summer 2007. Of course, I missed it. I was living in Louisiana.
BS Long Island spring/early summer weather
There is a thread with pictures from someone's neighborhood afterwards on SFN
