1. Babe Ruth
2. Barry Bonds
3. Willie Mays
4. Ted Williams
5a. Hank Aaron
good list except A-Rod should be ahead of Aaron.
definitely top 5.
Is that Gary Sheffield?
Nope. Pitchers should always be in a top baseball player list. You're thinking about this all wrong.
Bonds shouldn't even be on that top 5 list. Rubbish.
A Rods top 60.
There is a pitcher in the list. Babe Ruth. No other pitcher was as worthy as any of those position players.
Babe is laughable if you put him there for his pitching supposedly.
Good thread anyway.
I have a hard time giving Williams and Ruth love.
Played in the segregated leagues (I know Williams had a bit of a run with the coloreds, but not really) and played against dudes that had off season jobs.
Great for their time, but in the grand scheme of things, who knows.
Bonds was great before the roids. He adjusted to a changing climate and was still better than the rest.
A-Rods stats are in the same boat as Bonds. Great fucking talent, extreme douche, but that bat was sick. Top 5? Not sure.
oh shit, jd is getting worked up.
