Wasn't someone just saying it was considered a success? Is a few months a typical run?

May have been a Buchwald type spin - looks like it wasn't really doing that well at the box office:

"The closing notice is the first of 2016 in Broadway's annual winter chill, which invariably sees the exit of underperforming productions to make way for new openings in the spring. ...

Reviews were generally respectful if not quite enthusiastic enough to drive ticket sales. The material's topical relevance in light of the current immigration debate also failed to increase its traction at the box office.

Faced with considerable competition from a crowded field of other new productions including Hamilton, On Your Feet!, School of Rock, The Color Purple and Fiddler on the Roof, the show has struggled to build audiences since its Nov. 8 opening. Aside from a bump over the busy New Year's week, Allegiance has been averaging around 60 percent capacity, with cumulative grosses of just over $6 million to date."

Ha! I did some back of the envelope math myself and my WAG was $6M gross! They sound expensive to put on.

Jesus look at how expensive the tickets are! 200 bucks for orchestra! I'm surprised it hasn't closed already, who wants to lay out so much cash to hear about what a shitty county you live in?!!

I'm sure everyone wants to see a musical about an interment camp. A book would have been a better idea. Yoda Yamamoto goes to Camp. By Beth Stern and George Takei.

Wig will be thrilled. He doesn't want to see success for other people.

There were high hopes that the show's big song "Let's Do The Cavity Search Again!" would hit the pop charts.

I might go see it, but it doesn't look like I'll have the time It's kind of a shame, but you're right, a musical on the subject of Japanese Internment Camps seemed a little silly. A play or a book might have worked out better, but I don't know

His drawn out voice and over annunciation drives me crazy, that, and he is without a doubt a shitty actor. Dumb concept for a play, the people have spoken, exit stage right.

This news has me worried for the future of Hereafter, Vinnie Favale's passion project.

He had a chance to go but Beth had an emergency family crisis that happened on the exact day George's show was premiering so of course Howard couldn't stick around and remember he does work three days a week ,although since then they've had plenty time to go but then again Beths book came out....Damn it! maybe they really didn't have time after all.
