Wow, I had no idea they were shutting down. I have tons of Allmans bros recordings but never did get to see them live.

I plan on listening to this at some point soon. Despite the fact that they were a shell of themselves, I have always loved these guys.

    Skydog is something incredible.

Seen them a half dozen times, but my best memory was at Montclair State College. Front row, Seven Turns tour, resting my arms on Greg's floor monitor.

They are a lot like furthur/dead now. They have surrounded themselves with incredible talent, but don't expect your mind to be completely blown. I've seen ABB a few times, and they were all fun shows

He has his own gig now playing small venues. He mellowed. He shelved his Marshall plexi and is playing thru 2 Peavey classic 30's in stereo and swapped his LP for an es335.

Don't disagree (though, I get tired of Warren after a while - Derek is UNREAL). But my point being - this was the last stand for the Allmans. When Duane died, the Allmans started writing some of my favorite tunes (Dickey specifically). Would have just been nice to bury the hatchet for a one off show - or even just come out for encores or something. I'm sure there was no shortage of incredible guitar playing without Dickey, but it just would have been cool if he was there.

You would think the hatchet would be buried enough for a one or two song encore. With their age, health, and financial solvency, you would think they would let bygones be bygones. and drop egos for a tune
