I enjoy Artie's show and listen fairly regularly but I can't stand the musical aspect of the show. Am I the only one? It seems to bring the show to a screeching halt most of the time.

Agreed. Not to mention the majority of artists they get are shit. Even if they were to consistently get good artists, it still adds to the other 2-3 guests. It all takes away time from what makes the show good, Artie and company bantering.

EDIT: I wouldn't mind music, as long as there weren't 2 other boring guests coming in.

Yes, the music sucks. I don't tune in for music, I tune in for laughs. It's just a waste of everyone's time, except DTV who gets $$$$ from Guitar Center. Now there's going to be bands three times a week? Fucking awful. It's pretty sad that Artie doesn't have much say when it comes to his own show.

The worst of the worst was when this cuntfag, restaurateur Joe Bastianich, and his band, The Ramps, were on the show. Remember this crotch?

I can live with the performances, it's the post-interviews that do em in.

    "Are you guys touring?"
    "I love the Allman Brothers..."
"Don't you guys hate electronic music?"

It is one thing to tolerate some new music from a band you never heard of, but to have to listen to them pontificating on the creative process, that's going too far. I don't remember the band but it was a couple months ago, the one with the song about "She's only into gay guys", it was bad enough but then Artie serious-interviewed them like they were the Who or something.

Christ, I forgot about him. He was pretty bad. How about the band a month or two ago whose bass player's cord came unplugged and they had to cut to commercial?

The other day Artie was talking about selling out (quitting the road, getting a steady gig etc.), and unfortunately it seems that he might be on his way there. He mentioned loved ones not tolerating the comic's life, so with this marriage thing it makes sense. He just shows up every day and collects a paycheck. I love Artie, but the reliance on all these dumb guests and bands just shows how much he's mailing it in. Don't get me wrong, the show still has many high points, but Ken Kohl has ruined the show comedy-wise.

I like the bands, maybe 4 out of 5 I enjoy. Some are very talented and I've downloaded a lot of their tunes afterwards.
The band interviews aren't always so good, though. Sometimes it's like pulling teeth getting the band members to say anything worth while.
